Emerging Leaders Program: Shaping the Future of the Electrical Industry

This transformative six-month program equips high-potential individuals with the skills and experiences to excel as leaders within their organizations and the electrical industry at large. Over the course of the program, participants engage in dynamic learning experiences that combine leadership development, workforce solutions, and strategic industry impact.

Key Features of the Program

Leadership Development Workshops
Participate in interactive sessions covering essential skills like strategic leadership, public speaking, fostering positive team culture, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution. The program includes a DISC personality assessment to help participants understand their leadership style and improve communication and collaboration within teams.
Industry Impact Project
Participants work collaboratively on a capstone project designed to address real-world challenges in the industry.
Mentorship Opportunities
Access to seasoned industry leaders who provide insights, guidance, and support throughout the program and beyond.
Networking & Collaboration
Build meaningful relationships with fellow participants, IEC leadership, and industry stakeholders. The connections formed in this program have a lasting impact on careers and businesses alike.

Participant Obligations

Acceptance into the IEC Emerging Leaders Program is a commitment to personal and professional growth. Participants are required to meet the following obligations to ensure a successful and rewarding experience:

Financial Commitment

A program fee of $2,750, which includes:

Course materials and workshops.
Registration to the Policy Conference ($549 value).
Registration to SPARK ($1,449 value).
In-person kick-off meeting (training and meals)

Please note: Transportation and lodging for required events are not included in the program fee.

Time Commitment

Participants should plan to dedicate 8-12 hours per month from April through September. This includes:

Attendance and engagement at required virtual workshops.
Participation in mentor meetings.
Work on the Industry Impact Project.

Event Attendance

Attendance at the following in-person events is mandatory:

Kick-Off Retreat | April 27-29, Cincinnati, Ohio
(Transportation and lodging costs are the participant’s responsibility.)
Policy Conference | June 22–25, Washington D.C.
(Transportation and lodging costs are the participant’s responsibility.)
SPARK | September 26–28, Phoenix, Arizona
(Transportation and lodging costs are the participant’s responsibility.)
